Prenatal Care & The Webster Technique
Pregnancy changes everything, including how your body feels day to day. The physical and hormonal changes that occur during this time can often bring discomfort and pain. We offer gentle, specific care that keeps you comfortable while it does.
Dr. Indy is Webster certified, with advanced training in the specific challenges that come with pregnancy. Through gentle and precise adjustments, we focus on promoting proper alignment of the spine and pelvis, which can alleviate the physical stressors associated with pregnancy. Our goal is to relieve common discomforts such as back pain, sciatica, and pelvic discomfort, allowing you to move and function with ease.
The Webster Technique, as defined by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), is "a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that is considered safe throughout pregnancy. It involves a gentle, specific chiropractic adjustment to the sacrum and related soft tissues to reduce sacral subluxation and improve pelvic balance and function." What that means for you and your baby is that we help your pelvis move as well as it can, helping support a more comfortable pregnancy and, ideally, an easier birth experience for both of you. Prenatal chiropractic care extends beyond pain relief. By maintaining the body's structural balance, we aim to support the overall well-being of both you and your baby. Proper alignment can contribute to better fetal positioning for a smoother labor and delivery process. Additionally, it can help with digestive issues, reduce tension, and improve sleep quality, offering you a more comfortable and relaxed pregnancy experience.
One of the key advantages of prenatal chiropractic care is its non-invasive and drug-free nature. We prioritize the health of both mother and baby, and our techniques are safe and suitable for pregnancy. You'll have a calm, comfortable space and a doctor who explains everything before he does it.
We'd love to help you feel your best while you get ready to meet your baby.
